Damita – No Looking Back
She’s hailed to have an empowering, yet calming voice, and Damita would be doing nothing else except singing with a positive message. Damita, (born Damita Bass) who originates from Detroit, grew up singing and performing music around the house and in the church choir. She is the wife and of Gospel Star, Artist, Stellar Award Winner, Deitrick Haddon. Early on, she traveled with Gospel theater production “Mama Don’t”. Later Damita joined the female cappella group, Adoration & Praise, in which the group recorded one album.
Some of Damita’s musical influences include The Clark Sisters, Rance Allen, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Sting, Celine Dion, Cold Play and The Winans.
