Work Week Word-Tuesday’s Word-Something Good Is Coming Out Of This
“Something Good Is Coming Out Of This”
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” KJV
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” NLT
I know you are going through some things right now. I know it’s hard to see your way; trouble is on every side. I know that things are not going right on the job, every eye that sees you, you feel are talking about you. I know your bills are due, you car is not working and your out-laws (yes out-laws) are working your last nerves. Yes, yes, yes…I can see it all, but I want you to know that something good is coming out of this.
An architect and a builder know what the house is going to look like. They know where every screw and bolt is suppose to go. They know how many square feet the bathrooms are supposed to be. They know what side the doors to the “man cave” are supposed to go. They see the masterpiece where the average person sees a mess. As the passer-by sees nothing but a pile of dirt, the builder sees the foundation. The stack of lumber to you is the walls — but floors to him. The bags of the grey-looking stuff to you is the circular driveway to him. What looks like a mess is a beautiful palace to him…he is telling you something good is coming out of this.
God, the Architect and Builder, knows His thoughts for your life. He knows every event that is going on, went on and will go on in the future. He knows where to place things and where to cut to fit. His plans are wonderful and they are HIS. What He has in store for you is something big; something you can’t imagine. But He has given you a glimpse of it before. Don’t believe me. How about the time when you didn’t have anything, and you found some money in your pocket. How about the time when your friend paid for your lunch and said “don’t worry about it.” How about the time your enemy came up to say something to you and was confused. He was giving you a peek of the future plans.
His plans are to help you, not harm you. His plans are for the good of your life, not the evil. His plans are to sustain you, not to take away from you. He wants you to put your trust in Him. He knows what is supposed to happen to you…why trust someone else? The things you are going through…He knows. The trouble you see…He knows. The pain you feel…He knows; but something good is coming out of this.
