Work Week Word-Monday’s Word-A Solid Foundation
A Solid Foundation
Psalms 40:1-2
Someone needs to hear today that FAVOR AIN’T FAIR. Some people are looking at you sideways; they can’t see how (with your income) you have the things you have. They don’t understand how you walk around with a smile on your face all the time. They don’t know why when they are mad at you, and when you walk by them, they can’t say a bad word to you. You don’t have to explain yourself…just smile and keep it moving. You can’t explain it yourself. You don’t know why things happen. It’s just your season to be blessed. Yeah, you prayed about some things, you cried about other things, you suffered some things, but He heard you. You didn’t rush Him…you understood that.
Although He may not answer EVERY cry, He knows what you need. You waited patiently…My God. We live in a time where everything is instant. Instant rice, instant noodles, instant relationships (hello); but everything good doesn’t come instant. Psalmnist said “I waited patiently for the Lord” I didn’t run to Sister Reading Palms for an answer…I waited. I didn’t rush to get an answer, I waited…I didn’t get into debt, I waited.
What happened when he waited? God attended to him, heard him, took him out of the mess and set him on a foundation. He (God) said, “hold on…let me see. About my child who has been waiting on me…I’m listening…oh really, you need what…okay, well, let me pick you up and put you on something stable…you have been slipping.” You see, the ground you have been on has been shaky; you been sliding…you’ve been slipping. You’ve been getting in trouble, but it’s okay, He’s moving you to a solid rock.
Favor ain’t for everybody, but if you have it, walk in it.
