LiveMyGospel is excited to announce the addition of Marques Jackson (MJ) to our roster of contributing writers.  Besides inspirational writing, he too will be covering the BET Sunday Best program starting July 8, 2012.  We are delighted to share a little bit about MJ’s background with our readers:

He is a produced playwright, published journalist, and a player of the acoustic guitar, MJ earned his B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is wrapping up his M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications at Chicago’s Roosevelt University.

Marques has performed nationwide, including The Chicago Theater, The Victor Hotel, The Dusable Museum, Blu 47, The Regal Theater (coming in August) New York’s Apollo Theater, The Village Underground, in addition to advancing to the SemiFinals Of American Idol Season 6.

MJ’s debut album “Music Is A Drug” is packed with energy, thought provoking lyrics, and dance heavy beats. MJ adds to his music with riveting live performances, influenced by James Brown, Freddie Mercury, Patti Labelle, and the legendary Michael Jackson.  He shares with us that “Pop Music Will Rise Again with the birth of Marques Jackson into the entertainment industry. The World Is Waiting..”
