Indie Artist Spotlight: Devotion Music UK

Indie Artist Spotlight: Devotion Music UK

I first came across Devotion Music UK on twitter when they sent me a tweet asking me to check out their first YouTube video titled “Your Place.”  I was instantly interested in hearing more from them.

Out of the UK, Devotion Music UK is a duo comprised of brother and sister Daniel and Peace Oluwatobi.  Both started singing at the age of 9; they would also travel with their mother and sing at various events and conferences.

Daniel, who became the youth praise and worship leader at his church in 2005, also at that time became the bassist for his church’s praise and worship team.  In his spare time Daniel loves to do video and audio production.  When he has time, he is the senior video editor for Motive Driven Media.

Daniel’s sister, Peace, joined the youth praise and worship choir in 2006.  Thereafter, she went on to join the main praise and worship choir.  One of Peace’s loves is to play the piano, and compose songs.  She is currently studying to become an events manager.

In 2008, Daniel and Peace came together, and started their journey as Devotion Music UK.  They began writing their own songs, and travelling throughout the UK and also internationally in such places as England, the United States, Spain, Puerto Rico, and Romania –performing to audiences big and small.

Devotion Music UK just released their mixtape titled “R.E.D., The Beginning” which is available on their website www.devotionmusicuk.com for free.   This will also be a very busy year for them with the upcoming release of a new EP on iTunes in November.  They will also be touring, performing in different cities and countries, and gearing up for the release of their debut album in 2013.

Please join me in supporting Devotion Music UK by downloading their mixtape and sharing it with others — as they continue to share their love of God through their song.
