Indie Artist Spotlight: Melody Laure

Melody Laure, a new singer/songwriter is looking to make her presence known in the contemporary gospel world.  Coming from Boston, Massachusetts she is looking to sharing her dream of God’s love through song with the world.

Melody has been singing since the age of 2, and now is on a mission to have everyone hear her voice.  However, her love at first was not that of gospel but R&B instead.  But, it was during her life experiences, and a close encounter with God, that her heart changed and she decided to sing the glory and goodness of God.

Her passion now is to just simply write songs, and sing a message that can help to change the lives of others.  In her own words, she says, “I don’t want to just write songs you can relate to at the moment, but songs that have meaning and you can keep with you for a lifetime.”  

Alongside the release of her debut single God Is in Control (available on itunes now); another longtime dream of hers came into fruition when she launched her own Production and Publishing company (Lanibelle Music).  With many other songs underway, Melody is planning on releasing her first album sometime this year.

Melody’s motto comes from the scripture Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things she be added unto you.”
