Therefore, Franklin IV’s mission from infancy was to challenge, conquer and bring to the world a unique, combination of diverse vocal disciplines for the mind, heart and soul. Franklin IV, the son of a pastor, inherited a stage to begin his training. …Passed down from his great-grandmother, grandmother, great aunt, father and aunts who were known for recording gospel music, sought after musicians, directors and gospel concert organizers, Franklin IV had tough acts to follow.
Stepping onto the stage at five in his father’s church choir, and by eleven he was directing the children’s and adult choirs. Not long after his directorial debut, Franklin IV began songwriting. The most popular event in the Southeastern region is the Dillard University Christmas Concert that annually features a vocal artist. Franklin IV’s great-aunt, aunt and father received that honor. In 2003, Franklin IV was chosen as a featured vocalist to perform that same Bass aria “But Whom May Abide” his father performed throughout the eighties.
ranklin IV has performed on stages throught the United States in Texas, Illinois, New York, Minnesota, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Nebraska and Mississippi sharing the stage with artists Patti LaBelle,Ellis Marsallis,Irvin Mayfield,Smokie Norful,Kiera Sheard,Jonathan Nelson,Trin-i-tee 5:7,Roland Carter,Moses Hogan,Frankie Beverly and MAZE,PJ Morton and LeAndria Johnson.
